FAQ | Facts & Questions for Custom Beer Displays
Q: “How big should my beer display be?”
A: The size first depends on what footprint or area a retailer will give you. If no specific area then it depends on how much and what type of product you want to display; ie: cases, 6 packs, 12 packs, bottles, growlers, etc.
Q: “What if I just want to display cases of beer?”
A: We have what are called case stackers. These are made from corrugate and can be printed with beautiful 4 color process graphics on both sides and wrap around you cases of beer. They are very cost effective and have a short production time. These display are considered temporary.
Q: “What if I want a more permanent display?”
A: Then you are looking at materials such as wood, wire, metal or acrylic or a combination of these materials. These display can hold cases, 6 packs, or bottles and have changeable headers or graphic side panels and we can even include chalkboard or LED signs.
Q: “What types of displays do you make?”
A: We can design and produce any type of display to fit your needs. Permanent or temporary. Counter or floor. Using materials such as wood, MDF, plastic laminate, metal, wire, glass, acrylic, or corrugate.
Q: “Can The Alison Group do a custom design for our brewery?”
A: Yes. The Alison Group provides a 3D design of every custom display we do. For new clients on small orders of 50 we charge $250.00 - $500.00 per design. We will do up to three tweaks to this design at no additional charge. Should the design turn into an order we will rebate this design fee on the final invoice. For any client we design a custom wood display, tap handle, or sign and orders from another company, there will be a $2,000 charge for our creative services.
Q: “What is the minimum quantity of custom beer displays I can order?”
A: For custom designs we require a minimum of 50 displays.
Q: “What if I just need a few displays to start?”
A: We do have some stock wood and wire display options that can be customized with your graphics or logo.
Q: “How are my displays packed?”
A: Most displays are packed KD or “Knocked Down” so as to take up less space and cost less in shipping but require assembly. Displays are packed in corrugated cartons with foam for protection in shipping. We can also pack the displays fully assembled.
Q: “Where do the displays ship to?”
A: We can ship in bulk directly to your brewery or your fulfillment house. If needed we can drop ship to individual locations.
Q: “What information do you need to get the process going?”
A: We need to know quantity, what type of display you need, size, what the display will hold, budget and timing. We will need all of your art assets and logos. It’s important to have some direction from you. We will look at your website, Facebook & Instagram to get a feel for you image and brand identity.
Q: “What if I already have a design and just need a price?”
A: No problem. Just send us the design and quantity needed and depending on timing we will get you a quote from either our domestic or China facility.
Q: “What do I get as a prototype?”
A: You will receive an exact display sample of what your full production order will look like.
Q: “What do prototypes cost?"
A: The cost of a display prototype can vary quite a bit depending on the complexity of the design and materials.
Q: “How long do prototypes take?"
A: Prototypes can run from 3 to 5 weeks.
Q: “What is the production time?”
A: Since we have both domestic and China production facilities a lot depends on timing, budget and quantity. So if you have more time we could go to China where production is 12-16 weeks plus transit time and costs are less. However; if you need a quick turn we can go domestic and we are looking at 4-6 weeks.
Q: “Do you need cases of our beer to design a display?"
A: Only when it’s a unique size or shape - however, it’s always nice to get a case to two of beer.
Q: “What is the warrantee of my display?"
A: The Alison Group stands behind every custom beer display we produce.
Q: “What else can The Alison Group do for our brewery?"
A: At The Alison Group we can also design and produce custom tap handles, LED and neon signs, metal tackers, custom wood signs, A-frames and chalkboards. Basically anything you need from full corporate branding and logo design to displays, signage and promotional items.
